Meet the Teams 10/11: Bicycle Centers/Collision 1 (Seattle)
The Meet the Teams Ride this Saturday, October 11, is hosted by Bicycle Centres/Collision 1.
This social, "no drop" ride will meet at Pert's Deli in Seattle's Leschi neighborhood (120 Lakeside Avenue) at 9:20 a.m. for a 9:30 a.m. departure. The ride may stop for 5-10 minutes along the way, but otherwise be prepared for a continuous ride. These rides happen rain, wind, or sunshine! Bring afunctioning road bike, helmet, water, some food, weather-appropriate clothing, a little money, and an extra tube in case you flat.
In addition to being ever-alert for road hazards, riders should use extreme caution at the north end of the portion of the Renton-Bellevue trail after the new Seahawks training facility (approaching exit 9 from I-405). The cracks and bumps here are increasingly treacherous.. It is a fast descent with a narrow gate and a post in the middle of the trail at the bottom. Make sure your group slows to navigate this section safely.
A complete schedule for the 2008 Meet the Teams rides is available at http://www.wsbaracing.com/meettheteams.asp.
