Sheppard and Williams ride to back to back weekend victories at Cross Crusade

Chris Sheppard (UC Santa Cruz Cycling) and Wendy Williams (River City Bicycles) cruised to respective victories in the Elite Men's and Women's fields at the double race weekend for Portland's Cross Crusade race series in Astoria last weekend. The series contines next weekend at Barton Park. Click here for full results.

1. Wendy Williams, 2. Emily VanMeter, 3. Alice Pennington

Weighall and Berg snatch success at Fort Steilacoom

Kristi Berg (Redline) and Nick Weighall (Rad Racing) claimed respective victories in the fourth race in the Seattle Cyclocross Series at Fort Steilacoom last sunday. Weighall eventually benefited from a late race flat tire by fellow chaser Russell Stevenson (BRI) to cruise in for the win. The Series continues next week as it heads to Donida Farms. Overall Women's top three after four races:
1. Ann Knapp, 2. Kristi Berg, 3. Jadine Riley

Calhoun and Riley succeed at Belly Cross

Kevin Calhoun (Rocky Mountain) won the second race in the newly formed Cascade Cross Series in a two-up sprint with breakaway companion Toby Swanson (BRI). Rad Racing's Steve Fisher was third.

Group Health's Jadine Riley rode to defended her lead against second place Nicola Mann to take the win in the Elite Women's field. Elizabeth Hartsoch was third.
